A short extract from The Fairies are weeeping by Carragh Sheridan, the escape of Victoria
The Fairies are weeping, my short story now available in ebook on Amazon.
Victoria is young and of noble birth, but destined for an arranged marriage with Edward, a man chosen by her family for his wealth, although he has no noble origins of his own. Despite her protests, the Count and Countess Ashton will not listen to reason. Victoria will have to marry this man even against her own will, and for the young woman there is only one solution: escape. But how could she avoid straying among the gloomy and labyrinthine London streets, on a dark winter’s evening?
